Ok, so not from Clarkes but a company running a customer survey for them. He mainly asked about their service side which to be honest I've never had a problem with, in fact they have always been very helpful.

When he had finished he asked whether I wanted to add anything. Told him the sales side was letting the company down IMHO. They treat you like a 2nd class citizen. When I was there last month it was all they could do to talk to you. Got chatting to another prospective customer, obviously a well heeled middle aged bloke, who had walked out in disgust, and was off to Oxford BMW to do a deal there.

The sales staff ought to go and get a job they like, piss off and let someone with a bit of helpful enthusiasm have a go!

They are obviously worried about the Wolverhampton outfit!! and so they should be!!

I've had the same Si a couple of time and always give a good report on the service department.

My gripe has always been with the parts availability which isn't good and that idiot aftersales manager John who really needs a rocket up his feckin arse.

As Santrix posted in another thread the owner, Dan, is very helpful and if you have an issue, go directly to him.

Jury is out on the Wolverhampton dealer as they are new to bikes.

Yep, they've phoned me twice

Service team :thumb2

Parts availability :blast

Sales team

Oh and why don't they valet my bike like they do at the HD shop? :D

After 5 years using Clarkes (and having always found them OK)...had to have my 06 12GS recovered to Benhams (Wolves) due to the dreaded EWS problem.

They told me it would be ready in 4 days time...then called me two days later to say it was done. Not only that...but coffee when I arrived, the bike had been cleaned for me, and then to top it all they only charged me the labour cost, as they had submitted a goodwill claim on my behalf without even having been asked!

Got off to a great start in my book!:D

My one and only experience of clarkes was trying to get some boots.

Didn't have my size, extremely unhelpful and I felt that I was too much of an inconvenience to them.

Spoke to Wollastons on the phone and a few days later the boots arrived.

Since used them for all my servicing on my previous bike a 650GS.

Following having a 1200GS as a loan bike I ended up buying one from them, as the customer services is excellent.

Lack of customer service at Clarkes cost a sale of new bike:blast:blast:blast

I guessed the phone call wouldnt have been from Clarkes themselves, they have never returned a call yet.
Service dept has been ok,but the sales team should give up and go home.
Its like the sales and service depts are 2 different firms and wont work together.
Who ever owns Clarkes cant be keeping his finger on the pulse, get a grip man.
Pidcocks or Cotswold have a much better attitude :thumb2.
