how do you do it ? i can burn dvd,s and then play them in any dvd player . but when i make a dvd or even a cd ,of some of my pic,s the disc is not recognised by the same dvd players that i can watch my dvd,s on . i am running vista on my desktop , and am using windows dvd maker , i have also tried picassa with the same results . :nenau

Hi there,

One possible reason is that the DVD player that you are trying to play the disc on is not compatible with the DVD disc you have burned. For example, with my Sony DVD player it will only play discs that have been burned onto DVD+R, and not DVD-R or DVD-RW or DVD RAM.

It is written on the front of most DVD players which type of discs it will play.

Another possible reason is that after the disc has finished burning it has not been finalised. This is a process at the end of burning which ensures the disc can be played on normal DVD players and not just the PC it was burned on. I have not tried this for a while so not sure how to check this has been done by the PC, I'm sure someone here could give you more detailed info.

Hope i have been of some help!!!!

Good Luck.

could be that it's making a C-DVD which only work in DVD-rom DVDR + or - computer style drives. Or incompatible media? check sytem requirements.

You'll need to media encode and generate it as a DVD project first and I've never done that that with movie maker we use adobe or avid.

Look under export settings it should give you an option being microsoft it should say somehting like do you want to play it a regular dvd player...?:nenau

you may need to resize all images to 720x576 or you need to render everything and it'll take ages...

If you want an easy way of getting pics on the TV, get a cheap graphics card with TV out....you can plug the TV into the PC and do slideshows and play clips etc etc......if it's for sharing purposes though, wot they said ;)

My TV has wee slots on the side that take a number of common format flash memory cards. So I use the digi-camera like a USB external drive, copy the piccies I want to show onto the card, take the card out of the camera and stick it in the TV.

thank,s everyone . i found this www.dvd-photo-slideshow.com i downloaded the demo , piss easy to use and i can now see my digital photos on my old dvd player . when the demo expires i think i will buy it . thank,s :thumb
