So, been looking for a bike to run over the winter , and finally got a triple black GSA today
It was local which helped and is very low mileage .Its funny getting on one after using the WC GSA for 18 months !
Nice though , relaxed great gearbox and beautifully built .
I've not had an issue with my LC but did miss the charm of the TC .
Very pleased with it , purrs along everything works and feels rock solid
I've had a few of these , and love them .
It does make the LC seem like a rocket , but has its own character
I'm lucky to be able to have both , but having been through a 4 hour appraisal today felt I deserved it :D
I'll acf 50 it and it will see me through the winter ahead , I'm doing more miles with my part time work now and the T Max though great gets cut up all the time as I fly along the A27 .

TC GSA as a winter ride..? Nice one; lucky man

BMWs built to travel the world. Except in winter eh :thumb2

Each to his own I suppose, but am I alone in thinking there's a lack of imagination here. I love my GS but I don't need two and for a second bike, with the sort of budget Robbo clearly has, there are loads of interesting and different alternatives. Aprillia RS250 anyone!!

Lovely, they are such great bikes and so easy to ride once on the move.

I've not ridden a wc , is it much bigger than the tc?

At 6 foot 6 there's not much actually I looked at loads of bikes , always liked the TC , love the LC , both actually a bit different .we are due some pretty awful weather this winter and it will work for me .Not everyone's choice I agree , but heh I'm happy

They always say that! I ran my LC GSA through the last winter, and there's not a spot of rust on it.:beerjug:

I think you saw this great looking bike, and have used the excuse that you need a "winter" bike to justify it to yourself.:D:thumb

The LC seems huge next to the TC but actually shrinks when you are on it , the screen is better on the TC and the gearbox smoother. The WC is really quick, the TC steady and fast enough .I like both bikes , and wished I'd kept my sand rover when I chopped it for the LC to have as well as the LC .I like the TC simplicity (relatively ) so for me it works .To each their own I guess .only problem is my wife does not know I've bought it:D:thumby:

There should be a law against running a beautiful bike like the triple black into the ground !!
Maybe stoning or lynching or flogging to dissuade owners !
Best bike I have ever had
:anger:anger:anger:anger:forry:forry:anger:

Fair point. I would have looked for a mint Africa Twin, ride all winter, hose it down in spring and it's good as new. Or a KTM adventure and accept that after a week's winter riding it will look like shit, but still go like stink.
