I've just seen these two videos

Looks pretty effortless, but does it do the bars / steering stops etc any good ?

I've had to pick my R1100GS up a couple of times, and I've used the bum under the saddle, lift with your legs technique. I fancy having a go at lifting it like in the videos, but not if it's going to damage something (hopefully not me).

I can't imagine any damage would be caused to either lockstops or bars using that technique. Does look a good way to pick one up :beerjug:

You can rest assured picking it up like that will do no damage whatsoever to your bike.

And I know :augie:D

As someone posted under one clip, Simon Pavey recommends that way on the ORS.
Surprisingly easy. :thumb

I think I need to 'drop' my bike on the back lawn this weekend (possibly even a few times).
