Hello there new to the forum no doubt I'll some be fairly regular around here soon enough
So Wednesday I'm going to check out a 2006 R1200GS and was wondering if you guys had any advice on what to look out for.
I had a little chat with a chap from the servicing department at Tunbridge BMW and he mentioned the rear drive bearing and check for leaking shocks.
He said too check the rear drive bearing, I am to put the bike on centre stand and listen for for noise and check for play, 1mm play is normal, he also mentioned it should be smooth. Question I have is should there be any noise at all when spinning the wheel?
The shocks should be easy enough to check, do you guys have any other advice on what to look out for?
The bike has 45000 miles on it but only dealers history upto 30000
The chap at BMW said would probably be worth dropping it in for the 48000 mile service
Anyway I hope that's enough info any advice would be much appreciated
Cheers
