Picos is busy in September

We’re there 2nd week, hotel del oso fully booked, and quite a few other places as well. Turning up last minute without a reservation may not be wise.

same in NW Spain. I have decided to go further south to Avial & Lerma as there did not seem to be much choice in Santiago di Compestela for late September.

the Spanish La Vuelta ( Tour de France type cycle race ) which is huge, is in the picos around 10th Sept,for three days , so lots of places fully booked by cyclists ,race teams, Media etc

Departing these shores on 27th August heading through the Picos and own into Portugal

its feckers like you what have made it busy and anyways a biker never books nothing they and there mates wing it and always find digs and scran and brew and stuff and you is now fecked cos the weather will change and you cant cos your stuck with hotels you booked my mate says
