Pics from our trip to Austria, Germany and Switzerland - July 2004

Just got back from 2 weeks around similar locations. Mostly perfect to hot weather with the exception of the route from Brugge to Calais and going over the Ferme pass.

Just uploaded a bunch of photos from the trip plus some from my earlier jaunt in Eastern Europe and Corsica.

I've split them into smaller country group folders. Not all are labelled yet!

Lake Lausanne ???!!!

Where is that then?

I think you probably mean Lake Lucerne / Luzern .... but it looks awfully flat for there!!

No definitely right.....it's NOT Lucerne (that's further up).............
it's actually Lac Leman (to be absolutely correct) OR more commonly known as Lake Lausanne and the pics I took, were between Lausanne and Montreux.

The bottom end of the Lake ................runs down to Geneva (so some people call it Lake Geneva.......but the Swiss don't call it that)

You are right that the frenchies call it Lac Leman, the kraut speakers would call it the Genf(er)see, I guess.

And us civilised inhabitants call it Lake Geneva or the coast to the North "the Swiss Riviera" ...
