Hi Nadeem,

so go on, how much then for the lights, how much to fit and how long did it take to deliver them?

Regards

Reggie AKA The Cameraman

Reggie got them within a week, 136 quid for the lights and I think 70 quid to fit...

Hi Nadeem,

cheers matey, that's something else on my wanted list then!

regards

Best looking set for 1200GS that I've seen so far, now where did I put my credit card? Do you know if they do mail order.

Yep prestige will - just give Guy (parts mgr a call) on 020 8303 3030...

I'm pleased with them and a lot cheaper than the touratech lights. On the way home from the dealer- for the first time on this bike, cars were actually getting out of the fast lane to let me by...so no probs being seen... :)

nadeem, can you tell me if those brackets the fogs' are attached to were included in the quoted price of £136.

Yep brackets and the green switch on the handlebars are included in the price.

Thats a keen price......its £164 on the Wunderlich website:

Nice......

Hi Nadeem,
Very smart, I want some, but do they actually iluminate the road ahead or just enable car drivers to see you behind them?

David

Hi David

Yes they do actually illuminate the road ahead - they have 55 Watt Halogens in them (think they're H4's - will have to check) as well as making the bike more visible.

Hi Nadeem,

Was it you I saw this morning on New Bridge Str near Blackfriars?

I has a brief glance at your fog lights and it looks good.

If you are near Unilever building, may be we should meet up.

Omer.
The blue one.

Yep that was me - saw you of course on the Blue GS - I'm just along at Clerkenwell Road - we can definitely meet up whenever is convenient...

Nadeem - they look really smart!!!

I'll be getting me a set of them for sure!

If they are really fog lamps, aren't they mounted too high? Not just from a legal point of view, but fog lamps with a wide, diffuse beam need to be nearer to the ground to give any real benefit in fog.

If you're after better visibility on unlit roads, a set of narrow beam driving lamps mounted at about the same level as the main headlamp would serve the purpose better.

If these lamps were used as "marker lights" - ie to make yourself more visible to other road users - they are so high that dazzling may be a problem, also as they are so close to the indicators they may well drown out the puny 10W indicator bulb.

My impression is that these are the ideal GS accessory - expensive, good looking, but not really functional :D

Agree with Mouse- fitted too high to be properly effective- Touratech ones streets ahead with one real fog light and one Xenon light and those do serious work. But hey, if you love them, you love them! there's no accounting for tosser's taste :P ;) :D
