Agree with Mouse- fitted too high to be properly effective- Touratech ones streets ahead with one real fog light and one Xenon light and those do serious work. But hey, if you love them, you love them! there's no accounting for tosser's tasteMouse said:If they are really fog lamps, aren't they mounted too high? Not just from a legal point of view, but fog lamps with a wide, diffuse beam need to be nearer to the ground to give any real benefit in fog.
If you're after better visibility on unlit roads, a set of narrow beam driving lamps mounted at about the same level as the main headlamp would serve the purpose better.
If these lamps were used as "marker lights" - ie to make yourself more visible to other road users - they are so high that dazzling may be a problem, also as they are so close to the indicators they may well drown out the puny 10W indicator bulb.
My impression is that these are the ideal GS accessory - expensive, good looking, but not really functional![]()
