picture size

I have finally gotten to grips with posting pics

I have managed to re-size
What is defeating me now is how to get pics down to KB 1200

The site will not allow any thing above this

Any advice ...............

Change the resolution - DPI

Use Google Picasa, click on picture, click on export, select resize and set to 800 (or 600 if you want it even smaller), click Export... job done.
