Pikes Peak on SDR

There's a nutter over on Superduke.net that did the Pikes Peak race on his SDR this year.

He had an off and still finished 9 in the 1200 class,having lead for the first mile or so.

Bloody good effort riding in the dirt on this :

I guess it's down to the rider !

Put the Hypermotard rider on an SDR and with 40 more hp and superior handling he'd be even quicker.

still i bet it was a long way from Ari Vatanens run in the 405 the bit when he nearly drops the rear off the edge and where he holds his hand up to shade the sun out of his eyes while at full pelt
