Well and truly off topic - but then I reckoned the thread had run its natural course. :aidan

Countersteering oughtn't to be a can of worms - though it sometimes is. :D :thumb

Countersteering always has been as far as I know

Every time it gets posted on every site I've ever visited it causes :handbag:handbag:handbag:handbag :thedummy:thedummy

My wife recently accompanied me on a 6500km ride on a GS650 from Darwin to Melbourne 3500km of which was on dirt/sand/mud. She deserves a medal. Never once made a wrong move despite hard conditions and rough tracks. She loved it. Awesome trip. Good ot be able to share the experience.

With all the smooth accelerating and braking, and the lower speeds, she is bound to fall asleep.
A big bit of velcro on the back of your crash helmet and the same to the front of hers will stop you clashing helmets as she nods off.

Lady mounting

you on first and she gets on when you tell her to...
think gentle everything to start with..acceleration, braking cornering etc
she should sit still and let the bike move her, ie stay in line with you as much as poss...
enjoy !;)

My instructions to my lady were as above & I ride accordingly, hardly know she's there, took to it like a duck to water, she is a mature lady & loves every minute, I usually lean forward with a firm grip on the bars both feet planted & stick out an elbow to assist her on mounts & dismounts works a treat.
