I'm after a little help.
Mrs Blow has decided that our summer holiday this year will be the World of BMW tour of Italy in September (Wey Hey, what a result), so I’ve booked it all up before she can change her mind.
Though she’s a frequent traveller on the back of the Adv, I know she doesn’t always find it the most comfortable place to be.
Her two issues are;
• The thin seat padding
• The bracket for the topbox, this always works it’s way under the foam back protector of her jacket and sticks in her back.
So I’d like to try and improve her throne for her before we go.
I’ve looked up previous threads on this matter and the general consensus seems to be the Airhawk saddle pad which would sort out the seat issue. However, I cannot find anything on the bracket problem.
Does anybody else have this problem with their pillion and how have you overcome it?
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Save yourself a lot of money and buy a sheepskin rug. Cut it to the shape you want, then strap it to her perch. Not only will she be comfortable but it will give her something to stroke when she gets bored (saves taking the cat / dog / budgie).

:)

apparently an old lifejacket works wonders - cut it up, cover it with something or other and its great.

at the same time - don't forget a DIN rail bolted under the front mudguard to hang the washing off.

also a dustpan bolted to the rear mudguard is handy for when you need to sweep the tent out

and a old doormat folded carefully over the rear wheel for use as - well - a doormat for a tent.

don't forget some string to tie your indicator lenses to your head as makeshift sunglasses .

GS'ers on holiday abroad ?? - no - just tightassed grumpy old men :D :D

it will give her something to stroke when she gets bored - if you're too old to think of anything else for her to stroke. :D

oh lordy!

Noddy,
that bike looks like it actually gets used!
i didnt think that was allowed:eek:

Og.
yes - obviously i'm taking the pith ;) :D :)
