Hi, I have just got a 02 gsa with original panniers and would like to lower the pillions foot pegs. Seem to be hitting a blank for aftermarket solutions, any body out there had this problem?

Cheers Dan.

Hi Dan,

Same problem, no solution yet. I just bought an 05 1150GSA - first one. Test rode this and the 1200GS, girlfriend found the 1200 much more comfortable on pillion so we measured the inside of the peg rubber to the seat top: 19" on the 1200 and just 16.5" on the 1150 GSA (I would guess the standard 1150GS is slightly better than the GSA).

I too have had no luck seeking aftermarket solutions :nenau so will look at both a custom seat to raise the pillion and a custom made bracket to lower the pegs by about an inch.

I'm sure someone else must have faced this issue - anyone?

:bow Cheers John - you're a star! I missed these when I looked at Touratech!

May not help you Dan if you have the original alu panniers :(

Glad to be of help :) I think other manufacturers do them, like Wunderlich, but couldn't find them, the ones who do will probably be German, so if you speak the lingo, a search could turn up some more alternatives.

Thanks for the help guys, but it seems that they used foot pegs of a early 1100 when they fitted the original panniers to the adventure.

Not a problem, I think I might be able to make up a drop plate out of some ali plate!
