Has anyone found a way of lowering the pillion footrest on a 99 R1100GS.
Just back from a trip to Europe.
Saw some fitted to a 1200 GS.
Got me thinking they would make my wife more comfortable on the back.

…or stick a cushion under her backside to get the same result? :thumb

It's not so much the sitting,.........

it's the getting on.

With a combined age of 155 for bike, rider, and pillion we need all the help we can get.

Ah… ‘Comfort’ was what you said first, but I can empathise and certainly understand your point… It’s 78yrs just for me and my 1150 :thumb2

Lowering the pegs to get aboard could create comfort issues when riding though (unintended consequences?)

Hope you get sorted somehow.

I made a pair of adapters to lower the pillion pegs, I'll see if I still have them as no longer have the bike.

I had them in my last 1200 and they are now on my current 1250gsa, my wife is 5'4" and awaiting a new knee and they mean she can get on the bike far more easily and once on is far more comfortable (mind you the dismount can be a bit comedic)
Sure Wunderlich still do them for the older models
