Pillion footrest removal.

There was a picture or two on here recently showing an RS with the pillion footrests removed and fitted with an aftermarket exhaust hanger. Can anyone tell me the brand and a supplier please?

The only exhaust hanger I can find is for the earlier bikes and the eBay supplier says they will not fit the 2023 models.

I bought a second-hand one, cut the peg off and had it powder-coated.

It can be a bit of a PIA going the s/hand route; buying the thing, cutting it down, and painting/powder coating, but I think they 'fit in' much better with the rest of the bike and look far more substantial than the R&G one.

Yes the R&G item does look a bit lightweight, especially the 90 degree bend at the top. I can’t see that providing much support for the exhaust.
Might go down the same route with a modified original part and powdercoat it.

Thanks for that. Purchased from Morworks £40 posted. Just have to powder coat. Original item is £160 from BMW to fit the sport configuration. If you want to go the all Sports look the parts are £250 unpainted.

Watch out if you do remove the footrests. I have the thought at the back of my mind that having a seat for a passenger but no footrests is an MOT fail.

If that happens it's a matter of returning to base, bolting on the bits and going back for a re-test.
