So I have been trying to upgrade the pilot light to an LED. I had a read through Fanums LED post and got some of these

But they won't bloody work engine on or off. I thought they would have been a push and play but apparently not. I also tried a no error canbus thingy, but to no avail.

Is there something I am missing here? Surely they should work just pushing them in.

New /strong battery etc

Cheers in advance

Dusty

You've probably tried but LED's only work one-way, so try turning them around.

Dusty,
Remember that on BM's the brown wire is the earth, which must go to the outside of the bulb, the other wire to the centre contact of the bulb.

Hmmm ......Need to look again I think one might have been weeing up against a wall. I'm sure Ive turned it....

I did notice that when I switch the lights off I get a very quick mini flash in the bulb...

Look at the info on your link http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2906792632...:MEBIDX:IT

Simple install: this bulb has polarity (one + nipple at base & - metal pin on the side) simply swap with existing bulb, if it does not light up, rotate bulb 180 degrees and install

Some cars may require reverse/no polarity bulbs in some applications for e.g. interior or map reading light - please contact us for these

Unplug the cables further on and swap around, I had the same problem :thumb2

Pilot light?

I knew that the 1150's were old, but are they really Gas powered?
