Pimp Your Panniers Chapter 3.

Vern,Civil,& Redcap, you have nothing to fear, even without the paint scheme they just look so wrong.ie the tie-downs on the top are to big(i have smaller ones on my wagon)

Trunker.... they work.... If you can get frames and colour matched panners that work, are tough for under 500 quid i'd like to know where. Oh and im sure the size of tie downs are allways at the top of folks' buyinmg criteria... they are boxes for chrissake, anyone who spends over 500 quid for these kind of things obviously has more wallet than brain cells...

All Bern is trying to do is to let people know if they want it, he can do it.. There are some people of the forums who have alot more garish looking bikes..

Take a look at the hepco and becker things..

Look at the size of those handles. H&B must be a really crap company and not selly ANY panniers right?

The colour matching to the bike service bern offers is great.

What's with all this "tough" crap. Why do you want "tough" panniers.

OK for proper RTW riders but 99.9% of the motorcycle touring population cover millions of miles combined anually and "only" have plastic panniers and they don't seem to have any problems.

It's only you macho tossers who want "tough" panniers to make you look 'ard.

Just get something that works like those cheap Alpos ones. A bit thinner but FFS you only keep yer dirty knickers in 'em.

Most of the wannabees on here that have ally panniers don't go much further than the local Tesco's all dolled up in their best matching twat suits.

Get a life!

lol... wow, someone has some real issues going on here.... So much so that you have made three replies taking the piss, why not just put it all in one post?

Tough means that they are tough and wont break at the first drop or knock... And i am awfully sorry to dissapoint you but i own neither a matching twat suit (howabout people dolled up in Rukka suits, is that similarly 'twatty'?) and I have actually been further than Tescos on my bike.... So don't tell me to get a life fella.... Maybe we shuld have a 'look how far i've been on my bike' pissing contest... but thats childish..

I love the way everyone is so open minded to new ideas... If you dont like metal panniers, no one asked you to comment on them and get abusive so best keep shtum huh....

There you go i've had my retort... and thats the end of it. :pullface

OK.
By the looks of your sig you've probably gone futher than Tescos, maybe Morrisons?

Still won't change my mind about all the wannabees. Freakin' BMW clones
Go to Devils Bridge and see all the alloy boxes on GS's and they' only live 10 miles away. :JB

GS owners are becoming the laughing stock of bikers with their rufty-tufty 'ard bikes with country stickers bought off eBay :bounce1

As far as a 'look how far i've been on my bike pissing contest' apart from Africa, which is far beyond my budget, go for it? .... and only one trip with alloy boxes on an ADV. The rest with "softie" plastic panniers.

Boys and Girls

The OP asked for opinions on design on the panniers and not on how tough you think they look or whether you've been further than Tesco in a twat suit.

Lets keep this out of the playground shall we?
