The Pinlock insert on my Schuberth C3 has started to mist up occasionally, so I thought I would renew it, and after looking up the cost of a new visor (£55-£58), and a new insert (£24-£28) I reckon I need to be very careful.
I took the old one out but there is a bead of old silicone (in the shape of the insert) left on the inside of my visor.
It seems logical to me to clean this off before putting in a new insert – which comes with a new silicone seal. As this is the first pinlock I’ve had, is this the right thing to do? – and, no wanting to scratch the inside of my visor, what should I clean it off with?
