I've had a pinlock fitted to my tour-x and it was revelation in cold / wet weather. You can actually ride with the visor down, and breathe...at the same time!

BUT i noticed a small patch of fogging half way up the side of the rise in the bottom of the visor - about where you're nostril air hits( how else to explain it? ) it started small but over the week the pinlock has been fitted, riding to work everyday in the cold the foggy patch got bigger and bigger....... :spitfire:spitfire:spitfire

There is the normal fogging but also a lot of condensation - big droplets of water. Is it me? :nenau or something wrong with the pinlock?

experiences?

It was fitted at a Arai dealer 60 miles away so if go all the way up there i want to go armed with some knowledge...

The if the plastic of the pinlock visor is not fully seated against the inside of the helmet's visor then you can get some seepage causing fogging that kind of spreads out from a point on the side.

2 things seem to help:
1) Clean the pinlock and inside of the helmet visor frequently and whilst the pinlock is not attached to the helmet visor - could be a small spec jammed between the seal.
2) Make sure the elliptical adjuster in the pinlock mounts is set to force the pinlock as hard as possible against the visor.

P.S. My Shoei sometimes does this
