Pirelli MT16 Garacross - Road legal?

I've been getting mixed messages re the legality of MT16's.

Does anybody know difintively if they are road legal or not and, if they are, are they any good for green laning?

many tyres come in road and off road forms, they only way to be sure is to
look at the tyre markings on the side
"race use only" or "not for road use" is a bit of a give away!!!

"MST" (Multi surface tyre) in a circle tells you the tyre is legal for road use, as does "E" in a circle IIRC

I have also been told that, as long as the gaps between the blocks are no bigger than the blocks themselves then the tyre is ok - does that sound right to anybody?

Can't vouch for that exactly, but if the gaps are bigger than the blocks it IS illegal, so I'd say you're on the right lines.

No, I have a Michelin AC10 rear, which is road legal, and it has 2cm blocks that are 4cm apart.
