Pirelli Ultra Heavy Duty Front Tube Valve Tear

As the title says really: I fitted a Pirelli ultra heavy duty front tube... done about 250 miles and the valve decided to tear itself apart... no repairing that. As soon as I took the valve nuts off the valve was at an angle so I suspected the tube had moved and the valve probably torn, glad I was only crawling into the petrol station when it blew... my last front tyre blow out at about 60mph scared that crap out of me.

Any recommendations on the best place to get new tubes? Got my last pair from Krasnoyarsk BMW.

That is repairable. I sold those replacement valves about 25 years ago. Company called Tech. JJH
 
I never tighten the valve to the rim with the nut. You can't see if the tube has moved. I tighten the nut against the valve cap. That way you can see if the valve moves without it ripping as per your pic.

Good point. I'll remember that... might loosen them off a bit. I put a regular tube in this time.
