ANyone got Pivotpegs on their XC ( Johnny B? ) - if so can you post a picture of them.

I'm thinking about getting some as my clodhopping size 48 boots are pretty big and gearchanging / braking is sometimes a bit a hit and miss ....

I got mine when I was over @ Wunderlich

They fit fine

Very strong and much improvement to the controls

Pics tomorrow

Fitted easily

Highly recommend. So much nicer than the OEM and shouldn't break the first time they are hit by a rock.

Paul,
If you find a deal on the pivot pegs could you let me know - size 46 feet and having the same problem!

Cheers

Pivotpegz in the US are quoting $150 = about £105 but of course they won't ship them here.

Touratech UK are quoting £165

But I think I may get them from Touratech in France - €155 = approx £140 at todays rate. I'm going to put in an order for a big TT tank and a few other bits and pieces and go for a major bling upgrade to convert the XC into an proper toy. I'm just trying to pick my moment with the exchange rate to get the best savings.

I've got a French bank card and relatives in France that can receive the stuff for me and I'll pick it up next time I'm down that way. At the mo Touratech.fr is at least 15% cheaper than the UK.

I really rate them, plenty of grip and strong

Whether the Pivot Action is needed on a trail bike, it's debatable.............but it makes them really comfy whilst standing

:D Bloody hell JB, I thought my bike was pampered - you got a better carpet in the garage than I've got in the lounge :D

Do you think the pivot pegs make any difference to controlling the bike, or just better for comfort and changing gear?

How do you rate that special xmas edition back tyre of yours?

PivotPegz are more 'grippy' (sharper - but watch your hands -ouch), so you can steer better with your knees. Not sure about the controls, can't remember if I still take my feet off momentarily or just leave them on the pegz and swivel

Tyre - not very good in wet mud - awesome on hard pack shale and good wear on road. It will be a good summer tyre, in the Northern Hemisphere

Pirelli are also now making a new Rallye Raid tyre - 1st and 2nd in 2009 Dakar - so should be good.

Cheers for that - hopefully these won't snap when the bike falls over on to a rock ..... I couldn't believe how weak the originals were.

Me neither:blast

I've never tested these in anger - but they look stronger, thicker gauge metal and are heavier than the originals

Word of warning...............you need to get the correct PivoyPegz model for the XC - it's PP-PB-MK1
