I require a higher definition screen I assume that the higher the No's the better the definition?.
 
i require a longer piece of string,but want to do this that and the other.more pixels better def yes but what about refresh rate contrast,LCD or LED,what do you want to do with it,how big a screen,will the graphics card cope,just gone through all this myself,jolly old mine field. as per usual tell everyone what you want to do with it and i`m shure the ans` will come pouring in. have fun,i`m off out tonite to drink my headache away!!!,oh and to the pictures(REALLY BIG SCREEN!!):D:friday:D
 
Thanks for the advice chaps i have a Dell six years old with a flat screen at present fine for what I want. But I have a new program to run for work purposes which requires a higher resolution to work, form filling type of thing which is at present unreadable the suppliers say a higher resolution is required.
The present screen is 19" and some thing similar is required. I have no intention of using it for gaming etc. Have seen have seen a few today and have been amazed at the clarity on screen.

Also, if you wanted to use it for photo/video editing, the viewing angle can change the apparent colours completely on a cheaper/lower technology screen. Better technology/more expensive screens are more consistent in their image, when viewed off the central axis.
