I'm heading to barmouth this friday afternoon / evening for a couple of days of walking/ale testing with a few (non biking) lads from work. I might take the bike as there are some nice routes there n back.

Not likely to use the bike between arriving, then leaving Sunday morning. Mate's house there has no parking and he is a non biker so has never paid any attention to where a bike may be chained (fair enough). Any suggestions for somewhere to chain my bike ideally between Dinas Oleu Road and the railway station. :)

For any opportunist thieving non tosser types reading this, it will have a big eff off almax chain on it, so there :P

I haven't seen him in years but give Andy or Kath a ring, tell him Tim suggested you ask:thumb

Seriously? Is Barmouth a hotbed of bike theft? :nenau

I doubt it, but I'd rather not find out the hard way. My 11 may be harder to replace than your common or garden 12GSA :green gri

Just find a lamp post anywhere if you feel you need to chain it up.
Ive left my bike all over North Wales though and never felt the need...

I'd rather not block the pavement if I can help it. I'd also rather have an idea before I get there, instead of potentially riding round on arrival, hence the original question.

Done that already, but my mate's street isn't on street view. It's also apparently very steep, so I think he is worried my bike may fall off the hill if I try to park it there.

Hope that's all OK with you :P :D
