Arriving Ouistreham at 10 pm and looking for somewhere to stay for the night before heading on south the next day. Any recommendations of a biker friendly places?

Ibis Styles next to the port at Ouistreham, 24 hour reception

B&B hotel a mile down the road, they give you an access code

Pretty expensive for one person one night but maybe that’s August in France?

France is not a cheap place to visit any month but yes, anywhere near the coast in August will have a premium. It's why I am not going until September!

I use Ibis every time I am traveling up and down within Europe (non necessarily when on vacation) and the price is generally around the 80 quid mark all year long with some fluctuation around vacations and for some locations.
I once slept in an Ibis hotel INSIDE the motorway, next to the service station, wasn't super expensive :D

August will be more (and around the week of the 15th difficult to book as a lot of France will be traveling).

Often Ibis hotels are in "clusters" and you would normally find an Ibis Budget next to a standard Ibis, those cost a bit less in case.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I wouldn’t choose to visit France in August but it’s a big birthday for my sister so I want to make the effort.
Some good tips offered, and am also checking out Airbnb hosts in the area.

A couple I've stopped at over the years are below, all reasonably priced and 5 mins from the port.

Hôtel Villa Andry et Bar Panoramique

Hôtel Le Cosy Riva Bella

Hôtel L'Ecailler

We stayed at that B&B hotel just last August in the way back from Sid’s. Decent hotel, but no dinner on site.
Bikes were still there in the morning.

A few eateries nearby, 5 minute walk, or slightly longer if heading into town.

We ate here

Mind you arriving at 10pm, I doubt anything will be open to have a munch at.

End of July and entire August is a holiday season in Europe, factories all close for nigh on a full month. So yes, prices are at their highest for this time of year and not just in France.

doubt the OP cares due to time of arrival but there is a McDonalds open to midnight nearby and bound to be a kebab shop or two

for those there at a normal dinner time, there are plenty of options within easy walking distance, which would be my preference to catering at a McHotel. Either on the retail park near McD or town centre plus a small cluster by the port entrance

There is a pizza trailer too! We sadly missed it. He had run out of ingredients prematurely.

Ibis Caen Centre its right on the marina and has off street parking for location its perfect but still not cheap.
I have stayed there many times, very nice hotel, if its a Saturday night you will wake up to a massive market right outside the hotel door on the Sunday.
Many bars and reatuarants on the Quay, in the summer they have pop up alfresco bars along the marina which is really nice.

Rue du Vaugueux is the old town area quite close to the Ibis which also is a good restaurant opportunity.
