Places to visit in The Black Forest?

Hi all, my friends and I are visiting the Black Forest for a week this July. I have rode through here last year but that is the point - I rode through it and wish I had found info on places to visit in the region etc. I would welcome any ideas from you guys on places to visit? routes? Or any suggestions you think may help us enjoy our trip please. We will of course be making a small diversion to the Nurburgring on our way home
We are going via the overnight Hull - Euro port ferry then staying our first night in Dasburg. This is all we intend to prebook and want to then make it up as we go which I think is usually the best plan.

Hi,

Some interesting points to visit

Feldberg (Highest Mountain in the region)
Schaffhausen Waterfalls (This is where the Rhine takes a plunge)

In general riding the magnificent roads and beautifull surroundings there is enough of interesting things to check out.


I am a big fan will be riding trough the area in May

For a fantastic Ride go to Todtnau and take a run down the side of a Mountain on the Hasenhorn Coaster. To get an idea of whats involved have a look on U- Tube and multiply by 10 !!. Never heard my Missus scream so loud.
Todtnau is about 20 kms south east of Freiburg. The town its'elf is very nice and Biker Friendly.

We stayed in the Gasthof Feldberg in Todtnau - about a 200 metre walk from the cable car & toboggan run. Brilliant!

We've stayed here Oberwolfach a couple of times.

Very helpful guy is Klaus.

Handy for the Touratech factory and central in the Black Forest.
