Being a rooad only type I'm not looking for mega protection, just something to prevent a bit of damage as a result of a topple over.

As well as only riding on the road, I also enjoy the odd coffee stop.....

Nothing from BMW yet. MachineArt Moto have some in development, which should be around in September, they say.

That's what I've gone for. I guess black plastic ones won't show scratches as easily.

I had the plastic ones on my TC and when it fell over, they snapped and the heads got dented anyway.

Bought metal after that - but too late.
