My plastic pouch that the owners manual for my 12GSA came in has split down the right hand seam.

I think this represents the lowering of standards at BMW.

Will it be covered by warranty?

How is the pouch for your other 1200? If it's fine I think this could back up your argument for lowering of standards at BMW and provide useful evidence should you decide to sue them for the trauma involved with a split pouch. :augie

I have never had a plastic pouch.

Where can I get one?

Can someone take a picture please and measure it.

A PLASTIC POUCH, you were lucky......"We lived for three months in a plastic pouch in a septic tank. We used to have to get up at six in the morning, clean the plastic pouch, eat a crust of stale bread, go to work down t' mill, fourteen hours a day, week-in week-out, for sixpence a week, and when we got home our Dad would thrash us to sleep wi' his belt." :augie

Typical 1200-owner

No problems with the burlap sack - supplied with the 1150...................

You can even put it under the rear wheel, when stuck in snow :rob

Al :comfort

The pooch for my 1200 is broken. It doesn't bark any more when I press the horn switch, will it be replaced under my Barking Mad Wolfhounds warranty???

:D

Wunderlich do one

Wunderlich do a replacement made from kangaroo testicle leather taken from baby kangaroos and waterproofed with humming bird spit it is only £199 but i am sure it makes mine pick up better and the bottom end and fuel economy has improved.

Just use the pouch you keep your pipe 'baccy in.

Another great tip for when you're out and about:

Keep your slippers ready for stepping into your favourite CAMRA alehouse in style by lashing them to the hand-guards.

Billet Pouch - Group Buy

I have spoken with a local engineering firm who will manufacture a billet aluminum "pouch" if I can get enough people to buy.

So how about we get names for a "group buy" ?

:jes

I've just spat my Earl Grey all over my Laptop.
:D

I'm really suprised....

....the Adventure version was supossed to be a heavier duty item than the one for the GS1200, so that it would stand all the added abuse whilst riding around the world. :augie

there, fixed it for you :grin

I heard that Ewan and Charlie had a support vehicle carrying spare pouches otherwise they would never have made it.:D

Me neither. Now I know i haven't got one I feel deprived.

Could one of our talented Vendors procure some? Perhaps to match Tool Tubes?

I sold my 1150 and kept the pouch as it was obviously a quality item. I can now keep the user manual strapped to the back of the fuel tank safe in the knowledge that all the road crud thrown over the battery etc because Bumw skimped on a spashguard wont destroy my manual.... :blagblah

I have had to remove my pouch from my bike and hide it in a safe as now I live in 'scouseland' its bound to be stolen. Although now I've posted this I will have to move it somewhere even more secure and secret............bugger now I wont be able to find it!!
