Plastic removal from downpipes ???

Caught a black bin bag whilst riding last week & it melted onto my downpipes. Removed the bag & carried on to le mans. By the time I got home, 1200 miles later, it had burnt off the down pipes but is still on the balancer pipe, I presume this doesn't get as hot. What's the best way to remove it without damaging the pipe ?

go 4 a ride, and when still warm scrape off what ever you can, then scotchbrite follwed by fine steel wool and wd40.

try to scrape the bag off when cold also it might flake off.

Let it go cold.

Stanley knife at a shallow angle then solvol or shiney sinks.
