Hi

Sorry if this has been asked before.

Just seen a 1100 advertised with a plastic tank (which is very nice).

What are the pros/cons for this plastic tank, other than weight and using magnetic tank bags?

Are they retro fitted?

Thanks

If you search the Oilhead section you may find an old post on this subject. The plastic tanks may be slightly larger and a bit lighter, you may also find one or two paint bubbles on the plastic tanks. Steptoe may be the guy to fill you in on the finer details.:thumb2

Some delaminated and bubbled yrs ago were replaced by BM on recall. That nice 1100 is a steal . easily worked on and with stainless brake lines bombproof .All at a fraction of the price of a WC.

My 1100 plastic tank looks like it's had smallpox. Spoke to Ocean Motorrad who denied all knowledge of a recall or warranty campaign.
