@Gracious Either the GS or the Dakar would be fine, for commuting as others have said the difference is more felt off road than anything.

The bike feels light but It still ways the best part of 195kg with a full tank, but the low centre of gravity makes it a lot easier to manage the weight compared to other bikes (namely the 200kg ZX6R I was using while by GS was being rebuilt)

Check the rear light too. They often break at the mountings which make them loose. There is a TT strengthening part which helps to prevent this.

Need to get one of those, flying rocks n all that.

your bike

I have no idea what that means but you are probably correct :thumb

Here's a pic for ya whilst building and when finished.

Only thing I had to do was get Vern to weld me some lugs for the chain guard, he does nice work!

ps The supertrapp Titanium exhaust is for sale (too noisy for me!!), but I think it will only fit the single spark bikes.

just seen your pics, very nice could you let me know what kind of forks you fitted on your bike have a dakar with a number of ralley parts and was thinking about new forks ,stay safe.

The forks are the white power units supplied by TT. They are the same as the WP units fitted to most KTMs such as the 520,450 etc etc.
