I was travelling from Carlow to Enniscorthy by car today with some time to spare so diverted over to take a look-see. Wow.....still plenty of snow about - so much so that I couldn't get over the Corrabut Gap (N52 39.469 W6 46.323) nor up to the start of the access road to the radio transmitter (N52 37.963 W6 48.810) as both were still badly iced over. Reversing a (company!) car in ruts down an iced hill is kinda fun

Some piccys from a bit further down in the foothills....

Any recommended routes?

Essjay

Loads - the whole area between Graignamanagh -Bunclody - Myshall are excellent GS roads. During the week, you can generally get up the private road to the station (but dont tell anyone and DONT go into the compound - sterilising microwaves and all that:ymca) - this road has an interesting gradient! Accessed from the road west of Bunclody

The road from Myshall to the transmitter goes over the Corrabut Gap (but not today !) and gives an excellent vista over the area.

Further south in the lower areas at Graignamanagh and even on to New Ross are leisurely rides on a good day.

There are a few off road sections too...

Sounds like reason for a spin............:bounce1:bounce1:bounce1
