I don't know if I am allowed to do this, but I found a very (VERY) nicely made plug cap puller for the 1150/1200 stick coil plug cp things. Hand turned (not CNC, I asked) and is quite beautiful in aesthetics, but more importantly it grips the top perfectly and is about 100x better than that horrible piece of plastic the BMW provide as an excuse for a puller in the tool kit.

Anyway, the chap works at home and makes some very nice little bits fo rbikes - I got mine off ebay for £17.50, but he says if people go direct to him he can do them for £15 as there aren't the charges to pay.

I haven't done a picture, but if it is allowed then I will happily do a piccy and put up contact details to the chap direct. i don't want anything out of this, I have my puller, it fits in the tool kit better than the plastic one too.

If I have transgressed some obscure rule or other, then I shall go and flagellate myself and drink Laphroaig mouth wash as penance (followed by an even larger helping of Breuchladdie to take away the horrid seaweedy taste!)

OK, but photo has defeated me. Tutorials and even hands on help won't help, it is a size thing. Mine, even resized for the web in my editing suite, are far too big. The original was 75MB and even Photobucket coughed at that, 5 mins later it was still trying to resize it, so I abandoned the idea.

Anyway, the chap who turns them up is a Tony Jeffery from Nottingham way. He has given me permission to post his email here:-
tony dot jeffery at ntlworld dot com.

He is happy to turn up another batch. Maybe someone far more clever than I can do something rather more elaborate on this confuser thing.:blast

OK here we go a couple of pics. Looks like a nice bit of kit and since my HP2 did not come with even the plastic one will definitely be interested in this :D

Thanks King Rat / Maverick
.....................................email sent, asking to be put on the list for when he turns up some more!

I have been asked to point out by Mr. Jeffery that these are only for 2 sprk machines......

I thought the single spark 1150s had the same coil arrangement, but never having seen one in the flesh, I am probably wrong! Stewart - what has that thing of yours got making it go bang? Are they the same?
