Looking forward to this - just hired a van to transport me and my little underpowered bike to Hertford on a cold winters morning :D

... to Hertford on a cold winters morning :D

A couple of posts back I had hyperlinked the BBC weather forecast, but it seemed to break BHT's server!

You can find the forecast here:

Essentially, it looks to be bright but fecking cold. I cannot promise warm soup and pasties as Bakes managed to deliver last weekend, so make sure that you are wrapped up well.

Greg

Looks like we will be on the Airheads:rob The HP2 is a Parrot:D

See you all soon

Sorry Greg but I have just had my day off cancelled at work due to staff shortages so I am no longer able to make Saturday.
See you soon, have a good day and Happy New Year to everyone!

Rules of engagement:

  1. It'll be very cold - make sure that you keep yourself warm. If you get cold during the day, say so!
  2. The pace will be really easy - we'll stop at the end of every lane to make sure that we have got everybody
  3. Dave Emsley will be the Tail End Charlie - he will not ride past anyone who's struggling and the group will not move on to the next lane until Dave has given the thumbs up
  4. On road sections, we'll use the drop-off system.
  5. Don't feel pressured to ride faster than you are comfortable with - we WILL wait!
  6. Your involvement is entirely at your own risk

Lunch stop:

We'll stop for lunch at the Rose & Crown in Tewin. I have warned them that we're coming! Given our numbers, the menu choice will be limited.

Please respect the place and remove dirty boots and other clothing before you go in.

Hopefully I'll have something a little more substantial soon....

Hi Greg, OK if I bring two lurkers? One on a TTR600 and the other a 350 KTM, both done a fair few miles offroad.

Hi Greg, afraid I'm going to have to cry off this one, the dreaded Man Flu has caught me :( & I've still to get another number plate after the Plain pinched mine!

We all know how serious proper Man Flu can be. You must be at Death's Door!

:comfort

You and your lurkers now removed from the list.

Greg

The KTM is now fully road legal, so I'll be there :D

plodding along at the back...

on a bike several factors of magnitude more capable than I am...

Thank you,

(p.s. the Rose & Crown in Tewin, eh? Back in 1999, that's where I first met the lady who was to become Mrs BLL.... :kissy2 )
