PlusNet - have you started getting spam?

I've just received something like 20 "mail undelivered" type messages purporting to have come from my e-mail (or an extension of it) in the last 15 minutes.*

I never normally get ANY spam at all.

The last time this happened was when PlusNet's e-mail account was hacked........

I've called them but they say there's nothing wrong & I should have my "catch all" option turned off - which ain't gonna fix the issue as I sometimes put a new extension on for a particular sign-up.

I mentioned the fact their account got hacked before & the guy became quite defensive saying that couldn't happen.........

They are doing some work on their e-mail side, I'm wondering if they've forgotten to turn something back on

Anyone else experiencing problems?

I'm not with PlusNet.....

.....but this has happened to me. Not ISP-specific, I think.

Every now and again I get a load of out-of-office or spam-filtered undeliverable messages from people that I most certainly have not sent email to.

From what I can work out, someone somewhere has harvested my email address or domain from t'internet (depsite being careful with what I do with it) and masked their real email address when spamming to make it look as if its come from me.

Having a couple of teenagers using their own mailbox on the same domain probably doesn't help.....
