Now, having done exactly the same bloody thing with my very first bike some three years ago you'd expect me not to be such a donut! However, in my defence it was raining and the problem road was covered in two lanes of diesel, apparently in Turkey especially in the village areas they cover the road in diesel after they have laid the asphalt. So for the fear of going arse over because of the diesel on the road for approximately 4kms I didn't see the new asphalt patch work that was cleverly disguised by the glistening rainbow diesel in the rain. But I did see 'Betsy' the asphalt gremlin at the end of the 6kms with a couple of workmen smiling (*&^*^*^!!!!

5 hours of labour + 5 cans of WD40 later and the bike is like new again, except after today excursion she's covered in mud again
Now just waiting on my crud catcher to arrive from UK.
