Pole support for hammock on open ground.

Righty ho, it would appear that the poles are 2mm thick. The exposed overlap where they click together is 55mm long but there are two small indentations below that which would indicate that there’s the same inside the tube too. There’s a foot on one section and a spike on the top bit. I joined all 3 bits together and “hopped “ up hanging onto the top bit and I’d say 2 poles could easily take my weight. And I’m the best part of 19 stone. :D The one pole on its own ( 3 section's joined together ) is very difficult to bend. View attachment 348446

If @AndyB_11 were still here, he'd tell you that is NOT the way to use a vernier to measure the wall thickness of a tube!

Use the tips of the jaws!

Well he’s not here anymore so I’ll do it just how I fecking want! :D
Not only that, you've not shown enough of the Vernier scale to get an accurate measurement. (Not that verniers are considered accurate).

We need a separate, ‘Show us your vernier’ section. Someone will though, only misread it as hernia.

Until then:

You can see the bit with the numbers so that’ll have to do. :D
Anyhow, he went with a different option so it doesn’t matter anyway. :thumb2

Just hang on a frigging minute! :rob
They “ the professional “ measured that coin in the big flat middle bit of the jaws and NOT the tip! Exactly where I was measuring! :blast
