Riding through Birmingham today I was passed by a couple of police bikes twice. First one was a Pan euro with blue flashing light and siren and closely following him was another copper on a silver/grey 1200GS. No police markings on it. Strange!

Good choice WMP

'Bout time the West Mids Police picked a decent bike.

Dare say they need it cause of the pot holes on the Pershore road:)

Saw an R1 in Warwickshire the other week, also unmarked just throwover panniers and the copper had "police" in about inch high letters on his crash hat (note I avoided saying helmet [fnar fnar])

How do you know the one behind was a copper and not a cheeky twat (like me) taking advantage of the clear space behind him? It works a treat until he starts exceeding the speed limit or goes through a red light...

The yellow flouro jacket with "POLICE" written on it was probably the giveaway....

I saw the same upholder of the law last week with three of his pals, and they were going at a pace round pump island.

I couldn't help but notice the big grin on his face.

Pair of R1's

Interestingly i saw a pair of Yam R1's, fully marked up in police colours, but without blues down in North London today....

was quite a site actually :D

re police using gs1200
