Hi hopefully you guys can help me out.

I'm looking for a portable sysytem that I can take to Australia  where I will be hiring a bike, so that I have rider to pillion comunication.

On my return, I would like to set it up (hard wire it) to my 1200GS and use it with a Zumo and iPod.

Does a system exist that will do all of these things, i.e be portable so I don't waist holidy time settting it up, and be able to run the gadgets I want to when I return to the UK.

Alternatively, should I buy a low cost portable syatem just for the holiday and then go for a specialist unit on my return.

Any answers would be appreciated - I leave in early November and need to get things organised.:thumb2

My son and I ...

... used two Intaride PMR radios on batteries in a jacket pocket with a Push To Talk button velcroed to the thumb; totally independent of the bike and also works Bike to Bike. Later on I did the hard wiring thing using an Intaride RP1 which has now been superseded

Thanks for your help:thumb

Just gone and bought an Autocom 200 Duo:D

It looks as if it will do the job nicely.

Now for the bomb disposal bit - which wire to which???:blast

I plan to wire up the Zumo and Autocom to the bike. looking at all the threads on here, there's a 1001 ways to go about this.

Whats the definative way? Can some one point me in the direction of a link to a step by step guide?

Anyone in Suffolk who's done this before fancy doing this again?
