Best just get the overnight ferry then…. Solves all problems.
Apart from what time to arrive and if your seat will get squashed…
I reckon that’s safe enough………and is it safe to park at the Sovereigns pub at tea time to get food before the 11pm departure or are they nicking bikes before bedtime as well?
I’ve pushed my luck in a few places… left bikes in the street , been held at gunpoint in Turkey by undercover cops, marched at gunpoint through Delhi airport, been taken into a room by US black suits, in Chicago, dodged gunfire in Miami and São Paulo - I’ve done things with strangers after dark I shouldn’t - got into cars with people I’ve just met to go “to a party”……smashed my arm whilst riding a shopping trolley down Barnet High Street ( 7 screws @ 2 plates to bolt it together) escaped a brothel in Athens, and talked my way out of many, many pub fights.
I’m still here….. (just)….. and prepared to live life dangerously on Hayling Island……
If anybody finds themselves in a predicament near the ferry…..
I’ll help if I can…….
Hi. We are getting the overnight ferry on Sunday evening from Portsmouth to Caen.
I see from the timetable that the ship we will be on arrives in pompey at lunchtime.
Does anyone know what time they start loading? Strangely I would rather sit at a bar than out in the rain queuing.
I couldn’t find any info on the web or from BF themselves.
90 minutes before departure - bring a BrollyBlimey, he only wanted to know when to rock into town on his awesome.
