Portsmouth to France?

Aside from P&O, who else sails from Portsmouth or the south coast in general to Le Havre / Cherbourg / Caen / St. Malo / Roscoff?

Wa quoted £81.00 for myself & a bike, Portsmouth - Le Havre. Due to the ferry now being nearly full, price has increased to.......

£178.50

I'm aware of supply & demand but this is taking the piss big time.

Delaying our return will reduce price to £86.00.

Any ideas?

Condor Ferries go from Weymouth I think. You might have a couple of hours stop over in Guernsey , Chance to fill up with fuel (55p a litre) or get some duty frees . I think that as Condor sale to the Channel Islands wich is none EU they can sell duty frees on the boat . I was on this trip last week and they had 400 B&H
for £30.

try booking online and putting a few promo codes on the PO site - eg dailymail, thesun etc and see if you get lucky. Alternatively, phone up PO and quote a reference - eg say it is the Sun offer. i tried this for a trip last year and said the Sun, and the lady said there wasn't a sun offer but did i read any other papers. i went through the list until she finally interrupted me and said the price had dropped from £80 to £30. Always worth a try.
