France faces shortages of gasoline supply
Motorcyclists to France should note – it is possible that South France might face a shortage of gasoline.
Things might get tight in the republic. The reason for this is the continuing strike of Marseille’s dock workers. In the harbor of the metropolis about 50 tanker ships wait to be removed from their oil. On the other side Marseilles refineries already get into their reserves. They provide gasoline for about one third of the country. If the strike continues it might cause shortages already in April. Therefore: If one travels through France at the moment one should use every chance offered to refuel. And anyone with a reserve tank should constantly replenish it as well. With that one’s motorcycle should not run out of lifeblood.
