Possible Final Drive Problem

Hi all,

Ridning along my 05 1200 gs feels as if it is coming apart. When I put it on centre stand and put into second gear,release the clutch it sounds as if it is jumping in and out of gear, also the rear wheel jumps up and down. Is this normal behavior or a sign of expensive things to come.

take it off the std
you dont run bmw on std as it will kill drive shaft


check for play and then drop the f/d and check your shaft
motorworks can rebuild your shaft if need be ..

Sounds like drive shaft is in need of some attention. I assume it rides badly in each gear?
