Yeah sorry I was in a rush, no problems looking at the website IT let me in.

I take it you have copies of it, and have a new webhost !!!

If not let me know...

Thanks but spot of confusion here - the site is up and running for the moment but the Hosting company has wound up. This means the site in its entirety could be gone any time.
Transfer to a new host is not straight forward.....looking for advice from web gurus :D

Domain with 1&1 but I'll transfer that to GoDaddy where I have another name as I've found there management system/facilities better.

EZPZ

Have a look at EZPZ or even speak to them before going with Godaddy, I have found them to be better than average hosts, no crazy rules and not one outage or problem with them in over two years and all for £5.99 a month. Godaddy on the other hand................and good luck getting away from 1&1, it took me months to finally close my account with them.

I've posted on your other thread as well Andy, but I agree with Grumpy completely.....I've had problems when trying to migrate a site where the domain was registered with GoDaddy and hosted on 1&1.....it was a bloody nightmare actually, neither willing to cooperate and blaming eachother for what should have been a simple, run of the mill type change.
I wouldn't use either company again, even if they are cheaper....in fact, it's probably BECAUSE they are cheap that the problems arose :blast

You pay peanuts, you get monkeys :green gri

Long overdue update......

A temporary fix was in place for a few months before eventually a permanent solution sorted - the site/my R1200GS Info archive is up and running here:
www.MotorcycleInfo.co.uk

Sadly all links to articles on the site here on ukGSer and elsewhere will be broken but the Error 404 page that will load has Google Search on it so finding what you're after should be easy ;-)

Can someone message Toad on my behalf please as having decided not to renew my forum subscription I can't send PMs and point him here - thanks :D

Hi Toad, can you update the thread here again please:
http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showth...-for-1200GS-Owners-***-Updated-31st-July-2012
...and change the 'include page' for my site to the following page as all the existing links are broken:
http://www.motorcycleinfo.co.uk/bmw_r1200gs.htm
Many thanks :D
