Went past a camera van yesterday in my car at the top of the A3 dual carriage way. Speed limit 50 was probably doing 57/58 . Did I read on hear some time back that there was a web site where you can check whether you got done or not ??

It's a myth I'm afraid. There isn't a site - that I know of anyway.

You've just got a slightly sweaty 14 days until the panhandlers send their demand for money with menaces.

What a complete and utter fecking waste of space they are.

Worth remembering that your speedometer will be showing a faster speed than you are actually travelling at.
My 1150 is at least 5mph out, and the car is 2-3mph out.

At least you saw the van...

This is precisely the problem with speed cameras. Over here in the northern colonies (Canada), we have a phrase in our constitution that guarantees the right to a "fair and speedy judicial process". After I was sent a photo ticket in the mail (that I didn't know I got), I asked a solicitor friend I know, if one could argue to have the charges dropped because waiting 2-3 weeks to even find out you were charged is definitely a delay in the process and impedes the right to defend oneself. :rob

He said that the constitutional rights don't apply, because speeding tickets and the like are not in the criminal code. Still, I would be more supportive of speed cameras if there was a way to know you've been done at the time of the infraction. :(

Yes, I know; this should probably be in the "Rant" section. :mcgun:thedummy
