POSSIBLE WARRANTY ISSUE

Hi all, I just got an 06 1200GS from a non BMW dealer with remaining BMW warranty till August, I plan on getting the third year warranty from BMW when the time comes BUT! when I checked the service book there is only a record of the 600 mile service and there is now 5000 miles on it. Do you think that as it has not had an annual service/inspection this may void my warranty options for the third year? I also checked the service history with local BMW dealer and no record of annual service. I plan to have the 6000 mile service and inspection combined before August hoping this will sort it out as I do have concerns about ownership out of warranty.

Ring the warranty people and ask them, they were quite helpful to me. They might be persuaded to provide the cover if you get a service done soon.

Third year (BMW) warranty only requires franchised servicing during the period of cover - so I don't think you will have an issue
