Posting For Sale ads whats the story

OK. I thought I was doing it right, posted ad in for sale section then posted link to it here http://ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php/451869-EZ-throttle-springs-for-32mm-barbs . However link gets moved to for sale section so now two ads there from me selling same item.

What did I do wrong? I hadn't posted a complete ad as it was obvious that there was a link in my post.

Why post a link? if someone wants something, they will look in the 'for sale' section , trouble is that if everyone does it , the place will be swamped with links to stuff for sale

Right above this post, as I type, is a sticky that says posting a link is ok. Or am I misreading it?

Some folk are just interested in the airheads and don't peruse the for sale section as its usually full of stuff for later bikes. Anyway, according to the sticky by Kenny above posting links seems to be OK.

Link's only on here and actual advert in F S & W please. Also prevents non subscribers from posting a freebie in here.
