I have some footage that ive editted from my Go Pro camera, from the recent Bakerman Hog Raost, just cant upload it every time i start after about 1 min the internet kicks me out..:blast

What the hell... HELP..!

couple of question sorry if they seems stupid

what format is the footage?

have you got a youtube account?

have you uploaded it to youtube?

does it play on youtube?

can you copy the address to here with a simple copy and paste?

answer that and we'll take it a step forwards from there, I don't think this site will allow video uploads directly so the server is porbably timing you out.

not stupid at all probably me being dim:blast

Ok i have a youtube account, the video plays on windows media no problem, ive burned it to disc no problem. The problem comes when i click upload video, it all starts good then after about 1 min the internet disconnects and the upload cancels.

Its now beyond me.

Are you on dial up or broadband?

I know it sounds daft, but try setting it to upload, then open another tab in your browser and come here.......read a bit, post a bit and the activity should keep the connection 'alive'......if it works, there are little progs that will do it for you or your settings should allow you to keep it 'alive'......I suspect your connection thinks it's inactive for some reason :nenau

how big is the clip youtube has a limited size it might be that you file is too big.

sorry more stupid questions

ok ive checked the size of the clip, thats not the problem, ive also tried opening another tab and it nearly worked, but it says it will take 30mins to upload video, i can get it 15mins left then it kicks out.:blast

bloody hell it cant be this hard to upload a video..

30 mins is a heck of a chunk of time, either your upload speed is rubbish or the server is timing you out. In your editing package can you save the file but a (slightly) lower quality.

MS movie maker will ask you where and how you want it saved, premier will ask if it's streaming or download (streaming would be best) say 384KB or try 512Kb first

it should drop the size size down abit and make the whole thing skinnier and so easier to upload.

Or cut it into sections so atleast you can upload it in pieces.
