Hello all,

Firstly, its a great site!!!

Think I need an 1150 GS to put the smile back on my face, have been patiently looking for the past couple of months for a 1150 GS, have found 2003 1150 GS for sale locally, so all feedback appreciated.

its black with 18000 miles on the clock, comes complete with abs, panniers, BMW service history, good tyres and remus exhaust system, original exhaust has been sold on. Asking price is around 6000.

I have been told its a twin spark model??

Plan to use it for weekend stress relief along with the odd weekend trip away.

What do you think??

Thanks!!

Hi Colin. That bike sounds a wee bit dear to me. At this time of year it shouldn't be too hard to haggle a bit on the price. :)

Quite often good clean 1150's come up for sale on this site. In order to access the For Sale and Wanted section you need to be a Site Sponsor which will only cost you £12, probably the best money you can spend for anything GS related. :)

Where in Co. Down are you by the way?

Hello Aidan,

Was just looking at your pics from today, looks like a great run out!!

Im from Newtownards, home of all traffic jams!!!

Probably going to view the bike during the week, any suggestions on things tolook out for?

Thanks,:)

Is that 6000 pounds or euro? If it's pounds it may be a tad over priced, euro closer to the mark. IMHO :thumb

Ditto what Aiden said about the site sponser though...:beerjug:

If the bike's sound and you can get a good price, do it. I've had almost any sort of bike you can mention and have just bought an 1150GS and can say hand on heart it's probably the best all rounder on the market.

Colin, I have one of the same age, March 2003 , the same spec with standard can, wunderlich side panels, Givi top box adapter plate, front and rear fender extendas, Hepco and becker engine bars, locking oil filler cap, oil cooler protector grille, adventure screen. The bike was dealer serviced 150 miles ago and a new front tyre fitted.( Michelin Annakee) The rear has done about 2000 miles. I believe 6000 is a reasonable price but the bike would need to be in A1 condition. The panniers I have were used about five times and are mint. I used the bike for pleasure only and it is garaged all the time. Let me know how you get on. I do not know whether to sell mine or not as it is ready to roll for this year and requires nothing.

Thanks for info Ricky, like the extras you have added to yours! Could you be persuaded to part with it?
