Potentially a new R nine T / R12 9 T on the horizon next year...

I've heard from a reliable source that a new variant of the RnineT / R12 9T is scheduled for next year... It's supposed to be based on a proper enduro/adventure type bike with taller (and better) travel suspension, larger tank etc..... Hoping this is the case as i always wanted the original Lac Rose concept bike to go into production... Ended up being the Urban GS which was not even close...

Can someone tell what the gas strut is for on the top photo LH side of forks?

Can someone tell what the gas strut is for on the top photo LH side of forks?

My guess it’s a variable pressure strut, you can see a hose attached to the main camber. This would allow for pressure to be added or subtracted during testing to increase or decrease air thus stiffening or relaxing the forks.
